Volleyball in the United States is popular with both male and female participants of all ages. The National Woman team ended firtst at the World Campionship in 2014. Almost all high schools and colleges in the United States have female volleyball teams, about 334 universities are playing volleybal at the highest NCAA1 division. Universities and colleges award volleyball scholarships to talented volleyball athletes, which allows the athlete to participate in collegiate, intercollegiate matches or national championships. If you are a female or male athlete you are able to gain volleyball scholarships. Athletic volleyball scholarships can be achieved for good volleyball players on the level of the Division I, 2,3, NAIA or NCJAA. The chances to receive a full scholarship are relatively high. Coaches will also look at an athlete’s potential, so you don’t have to play already at the highest level to make a chance going to the U.S. The best time to go to the USA with a volleyball scholarship is right after graduation from high school or up to two years after. If any older, you wil l be looking at competing in the NAIA.
